29 Pedals JFET Boost Effect Pedal, Russo Music Exclusive Highlighter Orange
A love letter to the beloved faux-tubed tone of solid-state JFET transistors, 29 Pedals introduces their own JFET boost effect pedal called simply "JFET", presented in our own Russo Music Exclusive Highlighter Orange colorway. This pedal is a ground-up design to capture the vacuum tube mimicker that has been so prominent in musical gear since its inception. Meticulously crafted for ideal THD ratios and semi-hairy tones, this JFET is a secret weapon boost, of sorts, that delivers what it promises and more.
As stated before, this pedal is a JFET boost built from scratch to the likings of 29 Pedals and soon, you. Producing about 18dB of additional gain, this boost does just that with pleasing tube-y tones to give your signal a bit more flavor. A dual-stage IC output ensures that the output impedance remains constant no whatever how hard you push the level. Put the JFET at the start of the chain for base level boosting color, or pose it strategically within the board to push drives even further. At the end of the day, the JFET is a boost to use as one, but the performance makes it cut through like no other.
Adjust the levels with the knob labeled "L". We can all guess what that means. But next to that knob lays a three-way toggle switch marked with modes reading "F", "N", and "X". In the middle position is "N", and for all utilizations this means normal—flat-ish with a slight skew to the high-end that could be considered a treble boost if you really examined it long enough. Switching upward will take your signal to "F", which adds a bit more weight to beef up a sound that needs or wants it. Lastly, the downward position activates "X" mode, flattening the circuit all the way down even below 10Hz, giving that same weighted feeling but without having the tonality of additive EQ, tightening the phase in the process to produce a solid feeling sound. Don't worry, your ears will make sense of that description once you play around with it. "X" is truly singular, and is the not-so secret weapon of the pedal.
Like all 29 Pedals, this pedal takes "WHATEVER" power. 7.5 to 35V, AC or DC, positive or negative center pin—JFET takes WHATEVER, so use whatever with it to make whatever, whenever, wherever.
So, are you boosting, or what? Push your signal like no other with the 29 Pedals JFET Boost Effect Pedal in Russo Music Exclusive Highlighter Orange.
