Ampeg VH140C Head - Used
The VH140C, from Ampeg's '90s Lee Jackson high gain era, features two channels - each with their own three band EQ, volume, gain and reverb controls - front loaded effects loop, and onboard chorus. The chorus has two depth controls - one for each channel. On the back are various speaker outs for running the amp in Stereo - with 140W peak output - or in Mono at 70 watts.
The VH140C has a loud, sparkling clean channel and tons of distortion on tap through Channel A. The kicker with this amp it can be run in stereo in its own matching cabinet, which is wired with left and right inputs. The chorus is also gated - as input signal becomes weaker, the chorus disengages! It also adds a cool midrange contour with negates the sterile behavior of common solid state amplifiers.
This head is in very good condition.
