Bringing classic stompboxes into the twenty-first century, we have the Boss PX-1 Plugout FX. This striking digital creation from everyone's favorite color-coordinated pedal purveyors loads in up to sixteen digital effect models replicating classic Boss stompbox effects under one footswitch.

The PX-1 sets out to translate Boss's classic catalog of stompbox effects into one comprehensive, loadable multi-effect unit. Charmingly taking the form of the iconic Boss stompbox shape, the PX-1 is a streamlined and intuitive way to bring up to sixteen digital Boss stompbox models anywhere. At the heart of the PX-1 is a permanent library of eight Boss effects including the OD-1 Overdrive, SP-1 Spectrum, PH-1 Phaser, SG-1 Slow Gear, CS-1 Compression Sustainer, TW-1 T Wah, SD-1 Super Overdrive, and DS-1 Distortion. These blissfully simple effects receive new life as they are transplanted into the PX-1 through Boss algorithmic wizardry. Each effect is easily sorted through, responsively controlled, and meticulously recreated for authentic musical experiences time after time.

Powered by Roland's Boss Effect Loader mobile app, the PX-1 also comes with eight more modeled effects to be loaded into the eight existing user slot locations. These effects include the CE-2 Chorus, BF-2 Flanger, PN-2 Tremolo/Pan, OC-2 Octave, PS-2 Digital Pitch Shifter/Delay, VB-2 Vibrato, DD-2 Digital Delay, and DF-2 Super Feedbacker and Distortion.

The PX-1 is primed for an ever-expanding universe as its library of effects widens through the future releases by Roland's Model Pass program through the Boss Effect Loader app. In addition, the PX-1 effects are available for computer music production with the Boss Effects Pedals plugin on Roland Cloud along with six months of a Roland Cloud Ultimate membership. Further plugin effects available with this membership include models of Roland's JC-120 Jazz Chorus amplifier and RE-201 Space Echo tape delay, among many others. Newer additions to the PX-1 to be used with its digital models include stereo input and output connections, support for external control footswitches, and Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity.
