As part of a limited-time commemoration, we're treated to the sweet, sweet, monstrous tones of the Caroline Shigeharu Germanium Fuzz. Throwing back to some real classics of the fuzzstortion persuasion, this altered version of Caroline's fuzzy classic is a fresh take on germanium fuzzes for any "Soviet"-era fan to fly proudly.

The Caroline Shigeharu Germanium is an ode to vintage "Soviet" fuzzes that made the sound famous and irresistible among rock guitarists across time. Rather than simply swapping out the original Shigeharu's silicon components for germanium and calling it a day, Caroline took a couple steps further to make the classic germanium archetype their own. For one, Caroline took steps to make the circuit more authentic with new old stock Soviet transistors to best capture the spirit of the classic sound.

From here, the Shigeharu Germanium also features tweaked transistor gain stages in an attempt to emulate particularly, Caroline's favorite old, "bubble-font" Soviet-era fuzzstortions. The Shigeharu Germanium still retains the original Shigeharu's parallel octave circuit, though it differs with a more woody texture through the swap to germanium components. In any case, the Shigeharu Germanium blazes its own trail with a roaring, fiery voice just like your favorite young dinosaurs and dark keys.
