EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar Pedal, Russo Music Exclusive Pearl White/Black

EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar Pedal, Russo Music Exclusive Pearl White/Black
This Russo Music Exclusive Black on Pearl White Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar is identical internally to the existing production EQD model. Outside, it's a chilling, monochromatic coat of paint on the undefeatable fuzz tone championed by the Japanese drone metal band, Boris, and their guitarist, Wata. Shop the production model EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar.
In a unique collaboration that wraps all the way around the world and ties together any and all metalheads along the way, we're treated to the EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar. The Hizumitas, the product of a close collaboration between Akron, Ohio's EQD and Wata, guitarist of the internationally-acclaimed drone metal band Boris, recreates one of history's most formidable fuzzes, the Elk BM Sustainar. Reminiscent of the mighty Triangle Big Muff, the Hizumitas captures a key element in Wata's sound for both her and the many (many) ravenous doomers out there today.
This one-of-a-kind fuzz pedal produces the enormous Big Muff tonality we've all come to know and love with decadent sonic character and highly responsive playability. Separating itself from a one-hundred-percent traditional Big Muff tone, the Hizumitas features a relatively unconventional control setup to jumpstart your own journey into the abyss of Wata's crushing guitar tones. The Hizumitas begins with its nontraditional tone control which works somewhat invertedly where pushing the control counterclockwise will increase its treble and let that massive, sharp, buzzing flower bloom. Inversely, rolling the tone control clockwise decreases its treble and gives the mids and bass a well-deserved boost. Whether you're looking to stoke its fuzzy flame or smooth it over, the Hizumitas shines in every respect. It brandishes its namesake, "Sustainar," proudly as it rings out with lasting, searing, singing distortion time after time.
The Hizumitas is a standout fuzz among its contemporaries. With that extra special dose of doom from Wata herself, this truly a pedal to fire up and stare into the abyss. Fun for the whole family? More like fuzz for the whole family.
- All-analog recreation of Elk BM Sustainar fuzz pedal
- Inverted Tone treble control
- True bypass footswitching
- Standard nine-volt DC center negative power operation
- Exclusive Russo Music black on pearl white color scheme
- Crafted in Akron, Ohio
