Behold Volume III of the EarthQuaker Sunn O))) Life Pedal, the latest chapter is the dark book of drone-zone collaboration between legendary doomers Sunn O))) and EQD. The first non-limited production model from the series uses 3 switches and 6 knobs to create endless levels of octave distortion tones.

Life Pedal combines distortion, octave up, and boost into a single unit with two sides. The Amplitude side is the rodent inspired distortion side with an additional clipping section controlled by a 3-way rotary switch. Choose between no diode/OpAmp, dual silicon diodes with LED for asymmetrical clipping, or the traditional dual silicone symmetrical config. The left side of the pedal, Magnitude, is a MOSFET booster circuit that smashes your amps front end to send it into a frenzy of saturation. Magnitude is not a distortion circuit on its own, just a clean, high-impedance boost. The middle footswitch engages the octave up, which is blend-able via knob OR expression control. Experiment with the octave, which was designed for single, upper fret-board notes, but certainly has applications beyond. Signal flow is Octave ->Distortion -> Boost, each with independent footswitches.
