The EMG 40JX is their classic JX single-coil bass pickup in their Extender range housing. Dropping in with Jazz-flavored characteristics with a broad tonal frequency and distinct clarity, this pickup increases low-end response. A radiused ceramic bar magnet ensures tight, mid-range punch and high-end presence. This particular EMG model uses an Extended housing that is four inches long, designed for five-string bass.
