How this all starts is with the J-45 dreadnought-style body assembled with a thermally aged solid spruce top. A knockout way to impart some simulated age and lived-in tone, the heat treatment process results in a tonal profile and look usually only reserved for much older guitars. The aged spruce is matched with a solid mahogany back and sides and a scalloped X-Brace bracing pattern. Totally, this J-45 plays with that same inspirational tone you've come to know.

Tone is not the only thing Epiphone has authentically translated with this Inspired by Gibson Custom model. Playability is brought on by the model's one-piece mahogany neck. This neck, assuming a classic V profile shape, gives a full yet sleek feel in hand. An Indian rosewood fingerboard joins in at this time with nineteen frets and Mother-of-Pearl dot inlays.
