Epiphone 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Electric Guitar, Double Gold

For many, 1957 was the year that the Gibson Les Paul truly came into its own. To commemorate such a monumental year, we have this Epiphone 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue. Assembling with much of what made original 1957 Gibson goldtops exceptional, this "Inspired by Gibson Custom" series model accesses and delivers upon for the players of today.

Today's Epiphone 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue comes together with a suite of fine specifications to capture the imaginations of fans of '50s Gibson originals. This begins with a genuine mahogany body single-cutaway body matched with a carved plain maple cap. Following in Gibson's example for a classic tonewood combination of mahogany and maple, this Goldtop produces the iconic balance of warmth and brightness. The Vintage Gloss body finish replicates the lived-in wear a gloss finish can get with love, care, and time. Creating that aesthetic and feel that is not old but not new, this Goldtop is a gorgeous piece.

Falling in line with '50s-era Les Pauls, this Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson Custom" model features a one-piece mahogany neck shaped in a 50s Rounded Medium C profile. Fairly chunky and full, this authentic '50s-inspired neck is matched with a bound rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Mother-of-Pearl trapezoid inlays align for a bold and bright element to match the wow-factor of its gold finish.

While mid-'50s Les Paul Goldtops were fitted with P-90s, the sweet sounds of this Epiphone are produced by a pair of American-made Gibson Custombucker pickups. Creating a great palette of voices with which to paint, these two Custombuckers carry with them great weight, breath, and warmth. These electronics are hand-wired with CTS potentiometers and Luxe Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors. Enabling expressive and versatile tone mixing, these electronics are a dream.

For enhancing playability and bringing the best out of the instrument in general, we have a great hardware setup. An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge lands at the base of the scale with a historical aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece. Enabling stable yet fluid playing, these specs are met at the scale's opposite end with a GraphTech nut and Epiphone Deluxe Single Ring tuning machines for easy stringing and sturdy intonation. This Goldtop Reissue comes with a Epiphone brown hardshell case.

For fans of Gibsons and their gold medal Les Paul models, this Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson Custom" Goldtop model is a dream to play and to hear.
