Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue Electric Guitar, Vintage Burst
A classic among classics, the Gibson ES-335 is a highly celebrated guitar. To celebrate it even further, we have the Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue. This Epiphone semi-hollow, part of the "Inspired by Gibson Custom" series, wraps up so much of what makes the model a classic for the players of today.
While inspired by Gibson Custom models, this particular Epiphone is fashioned specifically to remake a model year that is not currently offered by the Custom Shop: 1962. 1962's rounded cutaways and small block inlays make special appearances on this model. This all begins with a five-ply maple and poplar semi-hollow body. Highly resonant and acoustically responsive, this 335 features a solid maple centerblock for enhancing sustain and combatting feedback. Playing reliably and authentically, this semi-hollow does the charm.
Reaching out from this semi-hollow body, a one-piece genuine mahogany neck lands in a 1960s SlimTaper C-Shape profile. Speedy and comfortable, this neck plays smoothly alongside a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two medium jumbo frets. Mother-of-Pearl small block inlays line the board for an authentically vintage visual motif.
For any 335 fan to get in, you've got to have some great humbuckers. Luckily, this "Inspired by Gibson Custom" model is loaded with two American-made Gibson Custombucker pickups. These humbuckers play with lush color and expressive warmth alongside its hand-wired CTS potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors which deliver tonal versatility as one mixes through. Totally, this ES-335 is fitted for any kind of sound or genre, making it a true "guitarist's" guitar.
All this acoustic resonance and humbucking warmth wouldn't do much good without a sturdy hardware setup. This Epiphone ES-335 is equipped with an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with a Gibson historic reissue aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece for grounding strings stably. At the scale's opposite end, a Graph Tech nut and Epiphone Deluxe Double Ring tuning machines land at the Gibson-style "open book" headstock. Sturdy yet fluid, this guitar is effortlessly playable and endlessly reliable. This guitar travels with an included Epiphone vintage-style black hardshell case.
As a guitar just about everyone has tried at least once, there's a reason the ES-335 has the status that it does. Take up this Epiphone reissue model and get in on the experience.
