The Altar's design integrates a dual-function control system, where each knob manipulates both gain stages and EQ characteristics simultaneously: the left knob governs treble emphasis and overall output, while the right knob shapes bass response alongside global output adjustments. This approach allows for a dynamic interplay between tones from dark and gritty textures or bright, fuzz-laden timbres.
