The Volume control comes alive past noon, driving the output into commanding presence. Bass sets the low-end density, from lean to subterranean. Attack manipulates the internal voltage of the fuzz stage—lower settings yield woolly and unstable textures, while higher positions sharpen the tone into a cutting edge. This parameter works closely with Compression, which shapes sustain and envelope: clockwise for tight, dark, and controlled fuzz; counterclockwise for raw, bright chaos.

Rounding out the controls, the Tone knob acts as a low-pass filter, letting you sweep from a muffled thump (~150Hz) to full-range sizzle. True to Farm Pedals’ ethos, the Subsoiler is handmade in Maine, with gold-finished enclosures and hand-applied labeling.
