Fender Custom Shop Bass VI Journeyman Relic, Aged Dirty Shell Pink w/Painted Headcap
Coming in from Californiaās mythical workshop is this Fender Custom Shop Bass VI Journeyman Relic in Aged Dirty Shell Pink finish. This Fender icon of alternative style and sound comes to us decked out in rich Aged Dirty Shell pink with a matching painted headcap and an FCS Journeyman Relic finish treatment. On this custom shop Bass VI, the Journeyman Relic finish treatment skips finish chips, dents and scrapes in favor of a gently handled and treated finish, simulating years of loving but careful use. Totally, this Custom Shop Bass VI offers an alternative path for players to enjoy the classic impasse of electric guitar and bass with all the exquisite craftsmanship the Fender Custom Shop is known for.
This Fender Custom Shop Bass VI Journeyman Relic starts out with a two-piece, offset alder body in the unique Bass VI shape. Giving that iconic yet singular offset shape form, this cut of alder works as an excellent canvas on which the lacquer body finish is splashed. The Journeyman Relic finish treatment works wonderfully for the Aged Dirty Shell Pink color, complementing its natural cool complexion and hue. This Bass VIās matching headcap features the Shell Pink color as well, tying the aesthetic image of this instrument together, top to bottom.
The two-piece offset body meets with a 5/4 quartersawn maple bass neck outfitted with a 60 Style Oval āCā profile to complete the basic body shape of this Bass VI. Smooth across its entire back, this neck is easily played from the highest to lowest frets. The quartersawn maple is matched with 9mm rosewood for its fingerboard, wherein twenty-one frets assemble with 47095 Medium Vintage fret wire. Across the full scale length, the board and frets are comfortably traveled and played with a radius measuring 7.25ā. Vintage Clay face and side dots adorn the board. Fully, the quartersawn maple neck measures .840ā at the first fret and .920ā at the twelfth fret.
This Custom Shop Bass VI produces a refined tone thanks to its three 62 Flat Magnet Jaguar pickups. Combined, these pickups summon iconic single-coil tones to carry through lower-register riffs and mid-range picking alike for an overall authentic Bass VI experience. This unique audible experience is built up with a number of fine hardware specifications. An adjustable Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge grounds strings with the help of a 1.555ā bone nut and Vintage Style tuners. This Bass VI ships with a Fender Custom Shop Bass VI Black hardshell case.
