Operating in the strange, wondrous middle ground between the worlds of guitar and bass lives The Fender Custom Shop Bass VI. Introduced in 1961, the Bass VI made a splash appearing in surf hits, early Cream recordings, and even used by John Lennon and George Harrison on multiple Beatles songs.

A Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish adorns the two-piece offset alder body allowing it to breath and resonate more freely–like a true vintage instrument. The NOS treatment is pristine, showing off all the glorious details that made the Bass VI a hit.

The neck is classically glossy and smooth all the way up with a '60 Style Oval "C" profile and a thickness of .840" at the first fret that deepens to .920" at the twelfth. The fingerboard is a rich-colored rosewood and sports 21 Vintage Upgrade 45085 frets with a period-accurate 7.25" radius.

Rounding out this Fender Custom Shop Bass VI are three '62 Jaguar Flat Magnet Pickups, each with its own on-off switch and a master bass strangle/high-pass for that classic tic tac bass sound.
