Fender Custom Shop Limited '54 Stratocaster Relic, Levi Perry Masterbuilt, Wide-Fade 2-color Sunburst

Fender Custom Shop Limited '54 Stratocaster Relic, Levi Perry Masterbuilt, Wide-Fade 2-color Sunburst
This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '54 Stratocaster Relic was hand built by Fender's own Levi Perry. Masterbuilder is not a title that Fender takes lightly, only being offered to their cream-of-the-crop luthiers. Needless to say, whenever we get to take in a guitar that's built by one of their Masterbuilders we are beyond excited.
Cut from off-center ash in a two-piece configuration, the body of the '54 Stratocaster boasts the iconic '56 Strat shape. While Strat's body contours have become notably more consistent from guitar to guitar over time, the beauty of technology allows this shape to be recreated identically, with two deep Strat cutaways, a rib contour, and a gentle taper where the forearm meets the lower bout while playing.
This Strat's neck is attached to its body with something special, a 70th anniversary 4-bolt plate, featuring the serial number of the instrument. The neck itself is carved from 5/4 sawn maple, and features a comfy, compound fingerboard radius ranging from 7.25" to 9.5". The fingerboard is embellished with Micarta Black wide spaced inlays, surrounded by Medium Jumbo frets. Atop the headstock, a small-style head with a '54 scoop features vintage tuning machines with the iconic Fender logo on them. The bone nut measures at a width of 1.625 inches, and the neck butt measures at 2.190". The neck spec ranges from .885" to .980", from frets 1-12.
In the pickup department, this Strat comes loaded with three handwired Fender Custom Shop '54 Strat pickups, designed and assembled to recreate the iconic twang and quack of a vintage Strat. The vintage-style controls, reminiscent of the '54-'58 Strat era, feature relic'd hardware, and a 5-way selector switch.
Its finish features a unique, slightly larger wide-fade sunburst, treated with the Fender Custom Shop's Relic treatment that extends to all the hardware as well. Hardware details include a vintage-style tremolo arm and string tree that pay homage to the golden era of Fender guitar craftsmanship, while white ABS knobs and switch tip, relic'd to perfection, complete the vintage aesthetic. This beautiful instrument comes with a beautiful Fender 70th Anniversary Strat case.
