Closet Classic, the Custom Shop’s lightest Relic finish treatment gives this guitar a look and feel as though it was hidden away safely in its case for years on end, handled very gently. Its Aged Vintage Blonde color works into this Deluxe Closet Classic finish resulting in an authentically appearing cream color, aged from an original white. Fully realized matching a carefully loved look and feel with some truly dynamite Fender Custom Shop specs, this guitar is bona fide Fender royalty.

This Fender Custom Shop ‘50s Stratocaster starts with a distinct roasted alder body, sorted for weight. Forming that classic Stratocaster profile and weighing in respectably, the roasted alder makes a unique appearance in this guitar among other Custom Shop pieces. Its Aged lacquer body finish has a distinguished look and feel and adds to the overall vibe the Deluxe Closet Classic finish treatment imparts.

The experience of this Custom Shop continues with a 4A roasted flame maple neck in a 10/56 “V” profile. This unique neck shape gives a different kind of grip in hand with this specific Strat’s custom dimensions, measuring .840” at the first fret and .980” at the twelfth. In addition to the unique measurements, this maple neck features an unfinished Relic treatment that gives a distinct feel along the length of its back. Filling out to the fretboard, the roasted flame maple features twenty-one frets bearing 6105 Narrow Tall fret wire for articulate fretting. .250 Micarta Black facedots line the board with 3/32” Micarta Black side dots accompanying them. This unique neck style features a 9.5” – 12” compound radius across the fingerboard and a bone nut measuring 1.650”.

Audibly, this Custom Shop ’50s Strat comes to life with a set of three distinct Strat single-coil pickups. In the neck position, this guitar features a hand-wound Poblano Strat neck pickup. The middle position is loaded with a hand-wound Poblano Strat middle pickup, reverse wound with reverse polarity. Finally, the bridge is outfitted with a hand-wound El Diablo Strat bridge pickup. Together, this unique assortment of Strat single-coils summons a spectrum of one-of-a-kind tones. Further features of this Custom Shop Strat include an RSD Strat tremolo bridge with a Closet Classic finish to match the overall body’s look, a Fender American Vintage string tree and a gold anodized RSD backplate, also bearing the Closet Classic treatment. This ‘50s Stratocaster ships with a Fender Custom Shop Tweed hardshell case.
