A nontraditional meeting, the Fender Made in Japan Mahogany Offset Telecaster is the product of two Fender classics combined. Utilizing elements of the Fender Telecaster and Fender Jazzmaster, the Made in Japan Mahogany Offset Telecaster features a distinct combination of classic Fender parts and appointments. The Mahogany Offset Telecaster begins with the iconic Jazzmaster offset body shape paired with a thick “U”-shaped Telecaster neck that is hefty in hand but streamlined in design to allow smooth movement up and down while playing. Along with a nontraditional body, distinct voice and tone is provided by a match up of a single-coil Telecaster pickup and a soapbar Jazzmaster pickup. Classic Telecaster twang and new Jazzmaster kick can be accessed with control of the three-way tone control toggle. With a 3-saddle designed Telecaster bridge, elements of classic Telecaster design make an appearance while Jazzmaster tones, compatible with any style of playing, resonate throughout the mahogany body. An interesting combination, the Fender Made in Japan Mahogany Offset Telecaster is an unorthodox combination of the Telecaster and Jazzmaster that makes for a tangibly and tonally intriguing instrument.
