Fender Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass Guitar, Maple Fingerboard, Electric Blue
Primed for new experiences in the Player II series, the Fender Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass is a charming addition to any bassist's lineup. Set with player-forward specifications and new innovations and features, this bass wraps up so much of what makes the model compelling for modern players.
The Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass features classic style and modern specifications. This all begins with a gloss-finished solid alder body taking the iconic J Bass form. Reaching out, a satin-finished maple neck connects in the palm for a silky and smooth feel all the way up and down its length. A maple fingerboard completes this setup with twenty Medium Jumbo frets that offer an excellent fretting feel. A 9.5" fingerboard radius drops in for a modern feel on the fingers.
For its voice, this Jazz Bass drops in two Player II Noiseless single-coil pickups that deliver all the punchiness the J Bass is known for. An all-new active preamp with an active/passive tone control and EQ section accompany these pickups for deep tonal shaping for expressive new tone mixes. A 4-Saddle HiMass bridge lands at the base of the scale for string sturdiness and solid intonation. Tapered-shaft open-gear tuning machines and a TUSQ nut align at the opposite end for effortless stringing. A Fender Deluxe gig bag travels with this J Bass for safe trips from place to place.
As a bold addition to the Player II series of guitars, this Modified Active Jazz Bass is a delight inside and out.
