Gibson Les Paul Music City Special Electric Guitar, Ebony w/ Soft Shell Case
Reveling in some of the name's most underrated models, the Gibson Les Paul Music City Special 50th Anniversary is a modern spin on two classic Gibson instruments. Set to combine the powers of two of Gibson's more alternatively-minded models, the Music City Special 50th Anniversary also celebrates the legacy of one musical town in particular, Nashville, Tennessee. Today's Les Paul Music City Special touches down to a limited quantity of 650 models per color worldwide.
The Les Paul Music City Special is a love letter to two of Gibson's historic models – the Marauder and the Music City Junior. These two lesser-seen models combine today in one knockout guitar with unique Gibson sounds and styles. This all begins with a lightweight, contoured body made of solid poplar. Taking a classic Les Paul body shape, this body is effortlessly mobile for carrying across a stage. A gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish decks this body in an impressive color for a classic Gibson look.
Building off from the body, a maple neck connects with a SlimTaper profile. This quick and seamless neck inspires fast moves from lower to higher registers alongside a striped ebony fingerboard. The board, fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets, measures with a twelve-inch radius for fast and dynamic playing whether with chords or solos. Acrylic dot fret inlays punctuate the darkness of the ebony for a satisfying visual element.
Sonically, the Les Paul Music City Special 50th Anniversary is loaded with two Gibson 70s Tribute humbucker pickups. Punching in for Gibson's classic warmth and kick, these two 70s Tribute pickups combine to make for a diverse sonic palette that is sure to land for fans of Gibson's lengthy humbucker legacy. A sturdy hardware setup also aligns with these electronics to make for a solid playing experience. In a Nashville spirit, a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge lands alongside an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece for a solid transfer of motion and easy stringing experiences. At the scale's opposite end, six Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines align at the Flying V-style headstock with a Graph Tech nut. This Gibson USA model travels with a soft shell case for moving from stage to stage.
For marauding Music City, USA, the Les Paul Music City Special does it all. Join in on this Tennessean celebration while it lasts.
