The guitar's neck, taking shape in an Advance Response profile, plays effortlessly from higher to lowers frets and inspires lengthy playing sessions. Sitting somewhere in the middle of Gibson acoustic neck profiles, the SJ-200 Studio Rosewood's neck is perfectly shaped – not too thin, not too thick.

Rosewood shows up yet again on this Studio model alongside its back and sides, taking the role of the fingerboard. This rosewood board, lined with twenty standard-sized frets, inspires nimble playing and smooth fretting for all types of music. Mother-of-pearl Graduated Crown inlays line the rosewood while a sixteen-inch radius lays out for a flat response and feel.
