Gretsch G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr Double-Cut Electric Guitar, Burnt Orchid

The Gretsch G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr Double-Cut is a compact addition to the budget-friendly Streamliner Series, blending traditional Gretsch features with contemporary functionality. This guitar is designed to be versatile for modern players while maintaining the iconic Gretsch aesthetic cherished by brand enthusiasts for decades.

The body of this guitar is made fully from arched laminated maple and features a body size that's slightly more compact than its other Streamliner Series siblings, while maintaining its slim body depth of 1.75". Using center block construction, a cut of wood runs the length of the interior of its body to enhance sustain and suppress feedback, while offering a semi-hollow body style that can handle higher amounts of gain than its fully hollow counterparts. Two F-holes are cut into the body, which is host to a sleek Aged White binding around its perimeter, continuing up the neck and to its headstock. AĀ set neck joint connects its body to the neck.Ā

The G2622LH Streamliner's neck screams classic Gretsch through and through, and is cut to a cozy soft "C" shape from Nato, known for its stability and resistance to warping over time. On the neck, a laurel fingerboard with a 12" radius is divided by 22 medium jumbo frets, and features Pearloid Neo-Classic inlays that sit at the very top of the fingerboard, met with black position inlays on the side of the neck.Ā

Under the hood of this player-grade guitar reside two of Gretsch's own Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups, both covered in nickel. These pickups utilizeĀ Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets,Ā and combined with the semi-hollow style body create stronger a Gretsch signature sound that offers strong and present mids, tight, full lows, and smooth highs that cut enough but aren't overwhelming. These pickups are easily controlled by a 3-way switch, and master and tone knobs, featuring a unique coil-splitting toggle to experience single coil pickups sounds from these BT-3S beauties.Ā

The guitar's body and neck feature a gloss finish in Burnt Orchid, and the Adjusto-Matic bridge,Ā single ply creamĀ pickguard, Gretsch Radio knobs and V-Stoptail tailpiece all add to its charming, vintage-inspire aesthetic.Ā
