Gretsch G6118T-140 Limited Edition 140th Double Platinum Electric Guitar, Two-Tone Pure Platinum/Stone Platinum

Gretsch G6118T-140 Limited Edition 140th Double Platinum Electric Guitar, Two-Tone Pure Platinum/Stone Platinum
Gretsch is celebrating its 140th anniversary in a big way. Two times the platinum, with plenty of guitars. This one is the Limited Edition G6118T-140 LTD 140th Double Platinum Anniversary.
Born into Gretschâs Professional Collection, this G6118T features many of the brandâs classic specs and appointments. FilterâTron pickups, a maple neck with 12â radius ebony fingerboard, an Adjusto-matic bridge with an ebony base, and a Bigsby tailpiece, just to name a few. Though similar in so many ways to its relatives, this guitar does have some defining characteristics that make it stand out from the rest. Typically, you would find a laminated maple top on a G6118T, and a majority of Grestch models in fact. This limited G6118T sports a solid Adirondack Red Spruce top, which is commonly used on high-end acoustics. Stiff and resonant with plenty of headroom, this Addy spruce is ready to be broken in to sound even more impressive over time. Its dynamic range is greater than many of its comparable guitar tops, making it a fine pairing with this guitarâs hollow body. In addition to its special spruce treatment, this celebratory G6118Tâs nitro finish is Two-Tone Pure Platinum over Stone Platinum. Double Platinum Anniversary calls for a guitar matching in color, does it not? To add to the limited goodness, a commemorative head plaque crowns this model, and matches the rest of the dazzling chrome hardware. This collectorâs piece encompasses Gretschâs past while inspiring the players of today, and is one of their most stunning limited releases to date.
