It's not often you hit sixty-five years as a company – thus, it's not often you see a guitar like the Kauer Guitars Russo Music 65th Anniversary Korona Deluxe. Straight from our good friends over in Sacramento, this custom-built Kauer Guitars Korona Deluxe comes together with a truly one-of-a-kind set of specifications to dazzle aesthetically and audibly. Designed to capture timeless musical qualities, our 65th Anniversary Korona Deluxe hopes to translate our passion for fine musical instruments to anyone to pick it up.

This special Kauer Korona Deluxe was designed in collaboration with Sacramento, California's Kauer Guitars. Focusing in on qualities we felt were unique to Kauer Guitars yet also captured our spirit and vibe, we feel this Korona Deluxe accomplishes both tasks marvelously, if we could be so bold. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though.

Our sixty-fifth anniversary Korona Deluxe begins with a classic Kauer staple: a Spanish mahogany body. In a talk with Doug Kauer, he explained that simply, "I'm convinced you can't build a bad-sounding guitar with it." Acting as a rich sonic springboard off which the rest of this musical experience can fly, Spanish mahogany is a standby in the Kauer catalog for good reason. This offset Spanish mahogany body is paired with a flame maple top to deliver some top-end brightness and articulation. Beautifully decked in a Classic Cherry Burst finish with white binding, this Kauer makes for an outstanding canvas to splash a distinctly vintage set of colors.

Extending out, our Korona Deluxe features a roasted maple neck in a Standard C-shaped profile. Filling the hand with an easy grip, this neck facilitates fast moves from lower to higher registers. This Kauer neck measures at .86" at the first fret and .92" at the twelfth. A wenge fingerboard lays out across this neck with twenty-two frets and a twelve-inch radius. Flatter, speedier, and built for dynamic playing, the fingerboard bears Keystone fret inlays and Jescar 47095NS fret wire.

Though, where would a Kauer electric guitar be without some heat under the hood? Luckily for us, our Korona Deluxe is fitted with a Lollar Special T set of pickups – two single coils – for producing that all-important warmth, clarity, and twang to inspire endless riffage. For sixty-five years, you do have to shout out the classics in one way or another, so we're sure these unique Lollars will do the trick. On top of these dynamite electronics, a full-style bridge with compensated saddles lands at the base of this guitar's scale while Hipshot open-backed locking tuners appear at the opposite end for sturdy intonation and easy stringing. This Kauer Korona Deluxe weighs in at a respectable seven pounds, two ounces.
