The Assault Plus features a single-cut mahogany body with flamed maple veneer top, and a gloss-coated body that offers a visually striking grain visible through Trans Purple. The body is paired a neck that's also made from mahogany, and that boasts a K-Speed SlimTaper "C" profile, known for it's comfortable handfeel and lack of impedance on speed up and down the neck. Complementing this neck, is the lightning-fast 12"-radius maple fingerboard, featuring 24 medium-jumbo frets and black dot inlays. The overall scale length of this instrument is 25.5". At the top of the instrument is a reverse headstock, a staple of Kramer's creativity in design.
Under the hood of the Assault Plus are the hot-rodded Seymour Duncan Zebra-style pickups, staggered to a black/white color configuration that adds an interesting visual focus to the front of the guitar. The JB bridge pickup is known for its classic, rock-inspired humbucker sound while the JN neck pickup offers warm humbucker tones for clear rhythms and silky-smooth leads. A 3-way toggle switch, two volume knobs (with push/pull pot for series/parallel operation), and a master tone control provide a range of versatility.
