Each drum features a 3-ply exterior of maple meets a 3-ply inner core of crisp cherry wood, creating a union that projects modern sounding tone while still preserving that timeless Ludwig sound. These shells deliver a rich and punchy sound that Ludwig enthusiasts have grown to expect from Ludwig's drums, and each is also embellished with Ludwig's iconic Keystone badges and Mini Classic lugs that create a look that's unmistakably Ludwig. The 6-ply cherry/maple shell also features a rugged outer ply that is applied during construction, creating a seamless bond that eliminates any possibility of separation or gaps.
