Built off the foundation of the Subway D-800, D-800+, and D-350 preamps, this new iteration combines the very best of those designs to deliver signature Mesa Boogie tone in a 35% smaller format, saving space in the car and on the pedalboard.

Once plugged in, the Subway+ Bass DI-Preamp II automatically adapts to active or passive basses thanks to the extended range J-FET preamp. Users can easily mute their signal for tuning or instrument changes with the Input Mute footswitch. The preamp offers compact and powerful tone sculpting controls – the Variable Voicing control adjusts the overall output response, ranging from flat to vintage inspired warmth. Deep and bright dip switches offer added rounded and sparkle while a fully active 4-band Baxandall EQ with fixed high/low frequency controls, as well as a variable low mid/high mid band offer further shaping. An isolated LEVELS section offers control of the onboard boost, which is footswitch controlled.

Great for practice, recording, or live performances the preamp comes fully equipped with versatile I/O. Players can utilize the Aux input and headphone output to play along to tracks silently, or go direct out with either a ¼" or XLR output.
