The 594 platform takes its name from its scale length, and while it draws from vintage blueprints, it's built to meet modern tolerances and expectations. Notable players like Tom Johnston of The Doobie Brothers and Mark Tremonti have long favored PRS for their reliability under pressure, and the McCarty series continues to reinforce that reputation.

This version features a 10-Top grade carved maple cap, selected for its consistency in figuring and clarity. Beneath it is a mahogany body with a slightly thicker depth for greater mass and resonance. The Pattern Vintage neck carve also leans into heritage, but is matched with a bound rosewood fingerboard, 10-inch radius, and 22 frets to keep things ergonomic and efficient. Phase III tuners with wing buttons lock in tuning stability without unnecessary bulk, while the traditional 24.594” scale length subtly alters tension and touch.

The McCarty III humbuckers onboard are the product of PRS’s signal analysis research and vintage pickup dissection. These pickups aim for fidelity and clarity over saturation, but with coil-splitting available via push/pull tone controls, you can dial in more articulate single-coil textures. The zinc and brass two-piece bridge enhances contact and sustain, rounding out the electronics and hardware package.
