Refreshed for 2026 and ready to play we have the PRS SE Swamp Ash Special. A unique offering in the SE lineup, this model calls upon swamp ash for its sound. Swamp ash is a highly desirable tonewood known for its lightweight, high resonant properties and pleasing grain patterns. For 2026, PRS has fine tuned this model for exceptional performance.

The solid piece of swamp ash is first cut into the distinct double-cutaway body shape and expertly receives a contoured cutaway and shallow violin top carve for maximum comfort. While the grain will vary on these models, each cut of ash is distinct and is further visually enhanced thanks to the vintage sunburst finish.

Attached to the body in a 4-bolt fashion is a solid maple neck. Carved with a Wide Thin neck profile, this maple neck features a maple fingerboard with PRS Birds inlay and is crowned with 22 frets.

For its voice, the body is loaded with 2 PRS 85/15 "S" humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck positions and a single PRS AS-01 single-coil in the middle position. The AS-01 features both alnico and steel which adds mass to the pickup for a powerful sound while the 85/15 "S" humbuckers offer well-rounded modern humbucker sound with clarity. Tone can further be refined thanks to the volume, push/pull tone control, and 5-way pickup selector switch for up to 10 different pickup combinations. The pickups are housed in the newly re-designed sloped pickup ring mounts.

Strings are loaded into the PRS patented Tremolo bridge and are strung to pitch with the PRS Designed Tuners with Wing Buttons. Complete with a PRS gig bag, the new SE Swamp Ash Special is ready to bring musical ideas to life and look good doing so.
