The SWR 550x is solid state bass head putting out 550 watts at 4 ohms or 375 watts at 8 ohms. The preamp does feature a 12AX7 for a more natural tube sound. There's plenty of control over your sound with a variable EQ, Aural enhancer circuitry, and a limiter defeat switch. Not to this amp comes built in to a rack case.
