This limited Honeyburst 414ce kicks off with a Taylor tonewood combination of solid Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood. Taylor's celebrated Grand Auditorium body shape comes together with a rich rosewood back and sides and bright Sitka spruce top. This body is sweetened by two things. The first, the Sitka spruce's torrefied quality, where it is heat-treated to bake out imperfections and impart a more lived-in character usually reserved for much older guitars. The second, its Special Edition Honeyburst gloss finish. Taylor Guitars V-Class bracing lines the guitar's torrefied Sitka spruce for an enhanced, modern sound and level of projection.

From here, Taylor welcomes a mahogany neck and West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard. Italian acrylic dot inlays punctuate the dark ebony for a classic look. These woods match up with a number of Taylor features included for playability and aesthetics. Taylor nickel tuning machines serve up easy stringing and tuning experiences across the model's 25.5" scale length. A three-ring black rosette rounds the soundhole for an understated look while the model's chamfered edges allow for a close, comfortable feel under the arm.
