Taylor Legacy 810e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Sitka Spruce/Indian Rosewood, Natural

Taylor Legacy 810e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Sitka Spruce/Indian Rosewood, Natural
Finishing out Taylor Guitars' 2024 and fiftieth anniversary as a company, the Taylor Legacy Collection 810e is one heck of a closing act. This piece from the Taylor Legacy Collection commemorates Taylor's fifty years of fine acoustic guitars, with production personally overseen by Bob Taylor himself.
The Taylor Legacy Collection 810e was fashioned in pursuit of capturing the essence of Bob Taylor's earliest designs. While this 800 Series does not exactly replicate the design and construction of Taylor's '70s originals, it is built in tribute to the standards that got the company off the ground. Along with its Legacy Collection brethren, the Legacy 810e is subtly reimagined and features aesthetic refinements and performance enhancements to balance Taylor standards both old and new.
This 800 Series dreadnought starts out simply with a Sitka spruce top, like many Taylors to come since the company's initial founding. Capturing the brightness and balance we've come to know from Taylor and the tonewood, this Sitka spruce top is braced with a more historic X-Brace pattern. This bracing pattern utilized throws back to Taylor acoustic guitars that predate today's Taylor Guitars head designer, Andy Powers. Indian rosewood completes this dreadnought's body as its back and sides for warmth and fullness. This total voice is translated easily to the stage with onboard L.R. Baggs Element VTC electronics.
A mahogany neck extends out from this dreadnought body and is paired with a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard. This fingerboard, a relatively newer addition to the Taylor Guitars canon, represents Taylor's dedication to environmental conservation and mindful sourcing of materials. These playability features match up with a suite of appointments that bring this model together as both visually and physically impressive.
Bob Taylor had a particular hand in designing the Legacy 800 Series models' visual presentation. Clean and classic, this 810e features white plastic body binding, a three-ring green abalone rosette, and non-engraved mother-of-pearl Large Diamond fingerboard inlays. Wrapping so much of what makes the Taylor aesthetic so timeless, the Legacy Collection 810e is a simple and clean guitar representing decades of a job well done. This 810e features a special "Legacy" label inside the body and travels with a Taylor Deluxe brown hardshell case for safety and security.
Really, what could be better to commemorate fifty years of Taylor Guitars than this Legacy 810e? A commemorative guitar for a legacy of quality guitar making, Taylor closes out their fifty year celebration in style.
