The Yamaha Revstar RSS20 is a guitar designed to mash together vintage aesthetic and modern playability into an exciting, new sum. Kicking all this off, we have a chambered mahogany body that assumes an easy double-horned profile and plays with a lightweight, resonant feel – particularly when paired with its maple top for that top-end crispness. Here, a three-piece mahogany neck builds up with a carbon-reinforced design for balance and resonance. Sonically, the Revstar RSS20 punches in with two Yamaha VH5b humbucker pickups. These humbuckers, designed with Alnico V magnets for an overall crisp and warm kick to cut through the mix and make a statement or two. The pickups are then fitted with master volume and tone controls with a push/pull "Focus Switch" that easily and noticeably shapes their frequency to fit a variety of musical styles. Backing up this voice, a number of sturdy hardware specs land on this model with a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece that ground strings solidly for quick stringing and an effective transfer of motion.
