2015 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Reissue Les Paul Standard, Dirty Lemon Burst w/ OHSC - Used
This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard Reissue features Historic Makeovers Deluxe Package. The guitar was initially built in 2015 and was enjoyed as is until it unfortunately suffered a headstock break later that year or in early 2016. In 2016 the guitar was shipped to Historic Makeovers for their Deluxe Package treatment. The Les Paul received a headstock repair with the icon stinger treatment, vintage top carve, vintage neck profile, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, hide glue neck reset, and beautiful vintage patina Dirty Lemon nitro refinish.
Along with the vintage structural appointments, Historic Markers also added Royalite binding, cellulose nitrate inlays, 6/6 nylon nut, Retrospec amber bonnet knobs, Retrospec rhythm ring, Kluson tuners, and a fret dress.
This example plays exceptionally well and is extremely resonate. Both the maple top and Brazilian rosewood board are fine examples and add to the premium, vintage look/feel. The pickups loaded in this Les Paul are stock Gibson Custom Shop pickups circa 2015, they have a clear and even voicing with dynamics. The neck profile feels solid in the hands and doesn't feel too chunky nor too slim. The guitar's original serial number 91121 has been re-stamped into the back of the headstock using period correct 50s typeface.
This '59 Les Paul Standard Reissue comes to us from the original owner and in excellent condition. Due to the nature the Historic Makeovers refin and aging treatment, finish checking, hard wear patina, and nicks/dings can be seen throughout the instrument. The guitar comes with its original hard-shell case, knobs, tuners, selector switch, Gibson COA, and case candy as well as the Historic Makeovers COA.
