Taylor's Somos Collection, a lineup of models focused on delivering authentic experiences in the style of Mexican music local to their Southern Californian roots, comes together like the Doce Doble – a twelve-string acoustic guitar that easily checks all the boxes of classic Taylor design and the needs of authentic Latin music tradition.

The 250ce Plus BLK Doce Doble approaches new musical horizons with reliable Taylor design. Kicking all of this off is Taylor dreadnought body shape with a cutaway brought together by layered Big Leaf maple and solid torrefied spruce. The layered Big Leaf maple brings about a fresh, vibrant base off which the rich and complex tone of the torrefied spruce can bounce. Torrefaction, a process in which tonewoods are heat-treated to bake out imperfections and impart an overall lived-in and well-worn character usually reserved for much older guitars, raises the bar for the guitar at the jump.

Onboard, Taylor's V-Class bracing pattern makes an appearance through their C-Class bracing variant. Taylor's C-Class bracing, a cantilevered take on V-Class, lines the torrefied top to enhance balance, projection, and contribute to the guitar's overall tonal complexity. In addition to audible assistance, the C-Class bracing helps in accommodating for the added string tension brought about by the guitar's twelve strings.

This Taylor also welcome a classic mahogany slim, Taylor neck and ebony fingerboard that facilitate easy moves from higher to lower registers.
